The state Corporation «rostec» is expected before the end of the year to sign with the Chinese side the General contract on the project of creating an advanced heavy-lift helicopter, said RIA Novosti Director of international cooperation and regional policy of the state Corporation Viktor Kladov.

«Prospective joint project of Russia and China is the creation of an advanced heavy-lift helicopter with a takeoff weight of 38 tons, to the end of the year will have signed a General contract on creation», — said the Hoards on the sidelines of the IV Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin. He noted that the parties «have already decided who is responsible for what».

A framework agreement on cooperation on the project advanced heavy-lift helicopter holding «Helicopters of Russia» and China aviation industry Corporation (AVIC) signed in may 2016. The demand for a new car in China may be more than 200 helicopters until 2040. The estimated takeoff weight of the helicopter — 38 tons. The helicopter will be equipped for day and night operation in a hot climate, in the highlands and in all weather conditions.

Treasures said earlier that a prototype advanced heavy-lift helicopter of the Chinese company AVIC, with the assistance of «Helicopters of Russia» will be developed by 2018.

The fourth Russian-Chinese EXPO opened on Thursday in Harbin, it will last until June 19. The exhibition presents almost all Federal districts of Russia, the main regional partners of the Harbin EXPO this year was the Chelyabinsk region and South China’s Guangdong province.
