Manifestation of discontent in Europe’s sanctions against Russia is clear and understandable, stated to journalists the press-Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

Earlier it was reported that the foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel and the Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern criticized a bill toughening anti-Russian sanctions in the energy field.

«You know yesterday about the new sanctions aspirations the President spoke in a straight line. Refer to this negatively and believe that, of course, they, as before, is able to further damage not only to us but also to those who support these sanctions and those who joined them… the fact that many farmers and Industrialists in Germany have to bear the direct losses in connection with these sanctions. And so, of course, a manifestation of discontent quite clear and understandable,» — said Peskov, asked to comment on the statement of Gabriel and Core and answering the question of whether it is a positive signal and can count on the change of position of Europe on sanctions.
