Residents of the American city of Saint Paul (Minnesota), protesting against the decision of the jury to acquit the police officer who a year ago shot and killed African-American, blocked the highway, reports the associated Press.

The incident in Minnesota occurred last July in the city of Falcon heights. The police officer shot the young man and wounded him. 32-year-old Felando Castille died in the hospital, where he was hospitalized.

According to the Agency, on Friday, the officer Geronimo Yanez was acquitted. In this regard, hundreds of people took to the streets to protest. The protesters blocked the highway 94.

It is reported that the police displace the protesters from the road, but it’s still blocked.
