Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the establishment of four artificial plots of land in the Kola Bay of the Barents sea for implementation of the investment project «Center of construction of large offshore structures», the corresponding document posted on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers on Saturday.

In June 2015, was approved a plan of priority measures for creation in the Murmansk region centre of the construction of large marine structures. The center is «NOVATEK» in the person of an affiliated society «the Kola shipyard». It is designed for the manufacture of the marine production, storage and shipment of liquefied natural gas and stable gas condensate by gravity base structures, marine mining complexes, as well as repair and maintenance of marine machinery and equipment used for offshore oil and gas deposits.

It is noted that for the facilities of the Center requires the construction of artificial land plots in the Kola Bay. They will be created at the expense of own resources «of the Kola shipyards». The volume of capital investments will exceed 25 billion rubles.

OOO Kola shipyard» received the permission of Rosmorrechflot, on the creation of artificial land plots on water object. Signed by order of the OOO «Kola shipyard» is defined by the person with whom the Rosmorrechflot will be contracted to create four artificial plots of land in the Kola Bay of the Barents sea», — the document says.

It is planned that the construction of the Center will create about 10 thousand jobs only in the shipyard, to increase tax revenues in budgets of all levels, to attract in the region of the additional investment, develop new high-tech production.
