«United Russia» by results of preliminary voting has gathered a strong team and it will perform adequately in a Single day of voting, Prime Minister, Chairman of the party Dmitry Medvedev.

The meeting of the General Council «United Russia» takes place on Sunday, it is planned to discuss preparations for the upcoming regional election campaign and to approve candidates for elections to the state Duma.

A preliminary vote of the EP in the selection of candidates for participation in regional elections held in the regions on 28 may. Primary elections took place, including, in the Kingisepp district (Leningrad oblast), which won the regional Vice-Premier Sergey yakhnyuk. Last week Russia’s Central election Commission has appointed additional elections to the state Duma on one-mandatory district Kingisepp on September 10 — a single day of voting.

«I am confident that we have gathered a strong team that will perform adequately on a Single day of voting,» — said in his message Medvedev to the participants of the meeting of the General Council of the EP.

He added that the party carries out a preliminary vote for more than 10 years, and during that time it has shown high efficiency.

«Today, the General Council of the party unites representatives of all regions of our country. And each of us needs to be in constant contact with people, to tell voters about the work done, approaches to the budget process, the implementation of «United Russia», and, of course, to monitor the implementation of the party program, to implement the promises made to people», — stated in the appeal to Medvedev, which was read by the meeting Secretary of the General Council EP Sergei Neverov.
