The first Charter flight from Japan to the southern Kuriles is postponed tentatively until 11:30 local time (05:30 GMT) due to adverse weather conditions, told reporters on Sunday the organizers of the trip of former Japanese residents of the Islands airport town Nakashibetsu.

The flight was originally scheduled for 08:30 (02:30 GMT) on 18 June, but due to heavy fog in the area of Mendeleyevo airport on Kunashir flight was rescheduled for the same time Monday and delayed again.

«The departure is scheduled tentatively for 11:30, but weather conditions have not changed,» he told reporters. According to information obtained by the Japanese at the airport, visibility on the island of Kunashir is just 200 metres away.

Part of the participants of the former inhabitants of southern Kuriles in the morning, left the airport to Nakashibetsu and went back to the hotel.
