The President of Brazil Michel Temer plans in the framework of the visit to Moscow on June 20-21 to discuss with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin the issues of combating terrorism, the situation around Syria and North Korea, said the foreign Minister of Brazil, Aloisio Nunez in an interview to «Rossiyskaya Gazeta».

«The heads of state are to discuss issues of maintaining peace, combating international terrorism, the main foci of tension in the international arena, the situation around North Korea and Syria», — quotes the newspaper.

Aloisio Nunez noted that relations between the two countries there are topics to which they have different positions, for example, the issues of disarmament. «But here we are ready and willing to discuss the topic of the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes,» he added.

He also said that Brasilia hopes for a positive conclusion of negotiations on an agreement on trade facilitation and on investment protection.

«Of course, they will discuss a wide range of issues relevant to the work of the BRICS, which is an important mechanism of interaction between the countries-participants, in particular, the issues of political coordination,» — said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Brazil. He added that a separate topic of the talks will be discussions on the possibility of rapprochement between the two economic blocs — the southern common market (MERCOSUR) and the Eurasian economic Union (EEU).

Earlier, the Ambassador of Brazil to Russia, Antonio Salgado said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the meeting of the presidents «is planned to sign a number of bilateral documents, the most important of which is the joint Declaration on the strategic dialogue in foreign policy».
