The majority of Russian citizens trust President Vladimir Putin is conducting international business, according to a survey by a reputable expert center Pew Research Center.

As shown by the results of the survey, 87 percent of respondents trust the head of state in addressing global challenges and making the right decisions in international Affairs.

While 63% of respondents approve of the way Putin maintains relations with Ukraine, 73% — as he leads relations with the United States. It is noted that in comparison with the year 2015, these figures declined slightly.

In addition, 59% of respondents believe that Russia plays a more important role in the world than ten years ago. 21% believes that the country’s role remained the same and 17% that it was less.

The majority of respondents (71%) believe a major problem in the country rising prices. 58% of respondents believe an important problem korrumpirovannosti political leaders.

The survey was conducted from 18 February to 3 April, it took part 1002 adult residents of Russia. The margin of error is +/- 4 percentage points.
