Spanish Director Fernando Gonzalez Molina and his crew after arrest in Nizhny Novgorod received the opportunity to continue the work, he told RIA Novosti at the Consulate of Spain in Russia.

Earlier, the Director’s lawyer told RIA Novosti that Molina was arrested in Nizhny Novgorod for the violation of immigration laws, after the Protocol on administrative offense, he was released. According to the lawyer, in Nizhny Novgorod oblast Molina came to shoot a documentary. According to some media reports, the Director made a film about a pair of young gay people living in a closed Nizhny Novgorod Sarov, and the Molina arrest occurred after filming sensitive sites without permission.

«The fact that the film crew was filming sensitive sites, is not true. They have not traveled outside of Nizhny Novgorod. They were detained for administrative reason, a few hours after the verification of all the documents they were released. They were allowed to continue their work», — said the Agency interlocutor.

According to him, the Embassy of Spain in Russia and employees of the consular Department of the Embassy are in constant contact with the crew.

Molina is a famous Spanish film Director, screenwriter and producer, who directed the movies «Three meters above the sky» and «Palm trees in the snow».

As reported earlier, RIA Novosti the regional Ministry of internal Affairs, «June 21, in Nizhny Novgorod, arrested four foreign citizens who have identified violations of migration legislation». According to the Agency, the citizens broke the law in terms of compliance of the declared goal of entering Russia, they were fined 2 thousand rubles.
