A resident of Nizhny Tagil, due to unextinguished cigarettes that killed his mother and sister, received two years of restriction of liberty, said the investigative Department of the RF IC in the Sverdlovsk region.

According to investigators, the man lived in the same apartment with his mother, sister and young niece. He regularly abused alcohol and used to smoke in his room in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

«These two bad habits and one day led to tragedy. Being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, the man began to smoke, lying on the couch,» said SK.

Investigators believe that the man had fallen asleep while lighting a cigarette. Since all this happened during the night, other household members also slept. As a result of decay of the outstanding cigarette ignited a couch and other items. Due to smoke inhalation carbon monoxide and combustion products received the man’s mother, his sister and niece. The first two died. Life young niece managed to save the doctors.

«The defendant fully admitted his guilt and repented of his actions. Given the fact that other relatives of the victims have not insisted on strict punishment for him, as well as a number of other mitigating his blame circumstances, the court sentence the defendant was sentenced to two years of restriction of freedom by imposing some restrictions,» — said in the message.-0-
