The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow on Wednesday has rejected the appeal of journalist Zoe Light on the failure of the Federal penitentiary service to allow her a date with a convicted citizen of Ukraine Oleg Sentsov for the interview, told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the court Emilia Gil.

«The court saw no violations in actions of officials FSIN of Russia, who refused the plaintiff Luminous Zoe to visit Oleg Sentsov in the penal colony number 1 in the Sakha Republic for his interview,» said the spokesman.

Representatives of the Federal penitentiary service in the court explained that it had acted in accordance with the norms of the Criminal Executive code of the Russian Federation, which, in particular, reglamentary visit convicts in prison. The defendants say that if the journalist is not satisfied with these provisions of the law, she should file a complaint with the constitutional court of the Russian Federation.

Sentsov was sentenced by the court to 20 years in prison on charges of organizing terrorist acts in the Crimea.
