The weakening of the ruble has support for Russian exporters of agricultural products and increases the competitiveness of domestic goods, said to RIA Novosti, state Secretary, Deputy head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin.

«The weaker ruble helps exporters, it has a positive impact on the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products, increasing the attractiveness of Russian food,» said Levin in the margins of the Agricultural forum of Russia, organized by Vedomosti newspaper.

«This revenue growth, earnings of the country, the impetus for further development of production and create new jobs,» he added.

The heads of relevant Russian ministries and domestic companies-exporters amid strengthening of the ruble in the beginning of the year talking about the negative impact of this currency movement on the exports. So, at the end of April the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev said that the best export of agricultural products from Russia is the dollar at 60-65 rubles.

The head of the Ministry of industry and trade Denis Manturov also noted that exporters are more profitable the weaker ruble. In early June, the Minister called optimal for import substitution rate of 62 rubles per dollar. In recent time, the exchange rate is under pressure. So, on Monday, the dollar in the course of trading rose above 58 rubles for the first time since may 18, and on Wednesday the dollar has exceeded the psychologically important level of 60 rubles for the first time since Feb.
