The US President Donald trump on Wednesday extended sanctions against people Washington accuses of violence in the Western Balkans.

«The threat posed by the actions of the people involved, or involved in acts of violence in Macedonia and the Western Balkans, as well as creating interference in the implementation of the «Dayton peace accords» (the former Yugoslavia) in Bosnia and Herzegovina or the resolutions of the UN Security Council 1244 of 10 June 1999, has not yet been resolved,» said trump in the Memorandum.

He stressed that such actions «continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.» «For this reason I felt it necessary to extend the state of emergency in relation to the Western Balkans,» added the President.

Traditionally, Washington’s sanctions include the freezing of assets of defendants in the «black list», which may be under the jurisdiction of the United States. American citizens are allowed to enter into business relationships with these people.
