Russian President Vladimir Putin will oversee the docking of the shallow and deep parts of the gas pipeline «Turkish stream» on Friday in Anapa, the press service of the Kremlin.

Gazprom started the construction of the offshore section of Turkish stream in early may. Work started near the Russian coast, laying in the shallows led the ship Audacia Allseas company contractor of construction of both lines of the offshore section of the pipeline. The ship is also used for routing of pipes from the shore through microchannel.

The construction of the gas pipeline «Turkish stream» in the deep part of the Black sea to conduct pipelay vessel, Pioneering Spirit. It is able to mount from 3.5 to 5 kilometers of pipeline a day with a total pipeline length of 937 kilometers.

Russia and Turkey 10 October 2016 signed the intergovernmental agreement on the project «Turkish stream», the operator of the building which is South Stream Transport. The document envisages the construction of two gas pipeline strings under the Black sea with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters of gas each. One thread is provided to supply gas directly to the Turkish market, the other for gas supplies transit through Turkey to European countries.

In December, South Stream Transport B. V. (100% subsidiary of Gazprom) and Allseas, signed a contract for laying first string of the offshore section of Turkish stream. In February, the company signed a contract for the laying of the second line of the «Turkish stream».
