. Manufacture of Italian cheeses is planned to organize at the enterprise «Svetloyar» in the village of Voskresenskoe in the Nizhny Novgorod region, have informed in a press-service of the Governor and government of the region.

Nizhny Novgorod Governor Valery Shantsev visited the factory and discussed the prospects of its development with the Director of Constantine Umnov. The dairy in the resurrection opened in 2016.

«Today we together with the Governor identified a number of activities that will affect the already increased load of our production capacities. The project involves the production of Italian cheeses according to traditional recipes. We originally thought about this when I picked up and bought cows of the Swedish breed. Amino acid composition of the protein in the milk of this breed allows you to make Italian cheeses. In Italy cheese is milk of this breed and made,» — said Umnov, whose words are reported.

According to him, the company now produces milk, sour cream, cottage cheese. Shantsev in his turn noted that the expansion of own food production in the region allows you not only to create new jobs for residents of Nizhny Novgorod, but also to keep the prices down because of increased competition between manufacturers.

«Speaking of the region as a whole, we are currently negotiating with investors in order to open a new import-substituting production. Major project planned for the production of cheese in Pochinki. We have today an agreement on the construction and reconstruction of 30 new cattle-breeding complexes», — he said.

In 2009 Shantsev approved the program of support of agricultural producers, in particular, stimulating subsidizing livestock.

According to the regional Ministry of agriculture, during the period of implementation of the program provided the construction, reconstruction and modernization of more than 500 objects. Translated into modern conditions 82 thousand head of cattle; maintained and improved the conditions of workers in more than 250 settlements. In addition, the increased quality of sold milk – specific gravity of milk of the first and the highest grade was 98%; specific gravity of breeding cattle in total livestock amounted to almost 23%, which is 1.5 times higher than the national average (16%).
