Visitors to the famous Ferris wheel London Eye in the centre of the British capital were evacuated because of reports about the bomb during the Second world war in the Thames, reports British tabloid the Sun.

The incident occurred around 10.30 am local time (12.30 GMT). As reported, a police spokesman, police received a message about the alleged shell for the Second or First world war in the coastal strip of the river Thames.

Police have cordoned off the area. In addition to the Ferris wheel, service also evacuated the visitors berths are located near the attraction. About an hour later the cordon was lifted.
