Anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean war celebrated in DPRK mass anti-American rallies in South Korea expressed the desire to strengthen the Alliance with the United States.

In connection with the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of war, the Chairman of the Committee of residents of Pyongyang has called North Korea «a true nuclear power,» which «is ready to destroy anyone who doesn’t take anything except threats of using its nuclear deterrence,» reports the Central cable Agency of Korea (KCNA).

The South Korean leader on the occasion of memorable dates expressed readiness to strengthen the Alliance with the United States.

«I will strive to strengthen the Alliance between South Korea and the United States in the negotiations with the American President, and I will try to resolve the DPRK nuclear issue», — stated in the message of the President of South Korea, moon Jae-in to his page on the social network Facebook.

War of 1950-1953 in Korea ended with the signing of the armistice agreement, formally the United States and North Korea are still at war. Pyongyang has repeatedly talked about the possibility of signing a peace Treaty in the event of termination of the hostile US policy towards Pyongyang, but all calls went unanswered.

The current leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-UN has consistently emphasized that the country will defend the independence and status of a nuclear state, as the increase in nuclear capacity is a necessary measure to protect the state from the United States.
