U.S. intelligence is concerned that the state Department wants to develop a dialogue with Moscow, can block the Senate adopted the decision to restrict the movement of Russian diplomats, the newspaper writes Politico.

As reported in may, the U.S. Senate adopted the document which requires the state Department to tighten regulations on the movement of Russian diplomats in the country. American intelligence suspects the diplomats from Russia is that they bypass the existing rules to move around the United States and engaged in espionage.

The publication explains that since the state Department is interested in establishing a «friendly dialogue» with Moscow, it can act against the new measures, which must formally take effect from August 2.

Unnamed us officials told the newspaper that at the moment the agreement document between the state Department and the Congress is not easy. More details to comment on the situation, they refused.
