Over 270 square kilometers of water area of lake Ladoga in the pitkäranta district of Karelia, where the boat capsized with five adolescents surveyed the rescuers with the beginning of the search, told RIA Novosti on Monday the representative of the operational headquarters on the spot.

«During the day surveyed 9 square kilometers of water area, since the beginning of the search — 272 square kilometers,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

According to him, the ground group has verified a total of 57 kilometers of coastline and per day — 5 miles.

According EMERCOM of the Russian Federation, to search and rescue operations involved a total of 277 persons, including 22 of the diver, and 77 units of equipment.
