Russia’s first unmanned buses «MatrЕshka» will appear in the FEFU campus

Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and «Bakulin motors Group» has signed a cooperation agreement whereby the parties will test the first drone of the bus «MatrЕshka» in the campus of the University on Russky island in Vladivostok, according to the University.

«MatrЕshka» is a fully Autonomous transport, developed by SKOLKOVO residents. Since Russia is not yet established standards for traffic control of unmanned vehicles, the first tests «MatrЕshkи» was held in closed areas of SKOLKOVO. The bus was also presented in may at the parade of technics in Saint-Petersburg.

«In the far Eastern Federal University it is planned the creation of new laboratories, of unmanned vehicles and systems for their testing on public roads. The preliminary stages of the approvals from all relevant authorities have been completed. The first joint project will be the launch of a pilot bus route «MatrЕshka», which will run on the campus of the University. Training will be held in June-August 2017, the tests will be conducted by the undergraduates of the University and experts-developers», — stated in the message.

The first bus is planned to start at the third East economic forum in September.
