Investigators sent to court a criminal case against former acting Director-organizer of the seaside aquarium, accused of negligence, which killed two walrus and Beluga, according to the regional SUCK, Russian Federation.

«According to investigators, from September 2013 to July 2016, the accused took a decision about acquiring and putting two individuals of the Pacific walrus in the name of Peace and Fania in scientific Pacific case «Primorsky aquarium», Feb RAS, which is not consistent with the proper and safe content individuals. As a result, the mammals became ill and died. It caused damage in the amount of 5 million rubles», — stated in the message.

Also, according to the SUCK, in the spring of 2016, the defendant «did not take measures to ensure proper and safe conditions» Beluga whales in the pool, with the result that she died. The damage amounted to 2.3 million rubles.

A criminal case under article «Negligence» with the approved indictment was sent to court for consideration in essence.
