The largest ship of the Royal Navy of the British aircraft carrier «Queen Elizabeth» on Monday for the first time in history set sail, transfers TV channel Sky News.

The ship is named in honor of Queen Elizabeth I (rules from 1558 to 1603) and is the second ship of the Navy of great Britain, which was given such a name, notes TV channel.

On Board the aircraft carrier will be more than 700 people, the oldest of whom is 58 years old, the youngest is 17. They have to get out of the dock, where the ship was built in 2009. The cost of an aircraft carrier, according to the newspaper the Guardian, is 3.5 billion pounds.
