Kosachev: from the U.S. to Russia to 29% of the total number of cyber-attacks

From the United States to the Russian electronic infrastructure is made up to 30% of the total number of cyber attacks, said the head of the international Committee of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev on Tuesday at a meeting of the Commission of the Federation Council on the protection of sovereignty.

Speaking about the threat of cyber attacks from abroad, which is constantly talking of American politics, the parliamentarian gave the following data: «From the Russian territory on the American computers is made no more than 2% of the total number of cyber-attacks, with the U.S. at the Russian e — infrastructure- 28-29%».

The head of the Committee also highlighted the increase of financial support operating in Russia non-governmental organisations receiving funds from abroad: from 2013 to 2015, the number increased from 2.5 to 4.5 thousand, and funding has increased from 36 billion rubles to more than 90 billion rubles.

In addition, foreign non-profit entities operating on the territory of Russia, this year «officially announced external financing in sizes 7 billion rubles», said Kosachev. In his opinion, this means that the remaining funds can go through commercial structures with use of cryptocurrencies, cash, other non-governmental organizations working in the country.
