MOSCOW, 27 Jun — RIA Novosti, Pavel Nuts. Russian cinema lacks professionals: screenwriters, Directors, producers. And existing educational institutions are not able to close the staffing requirements, the creators of these schools.

For those who want to learn filmmaking, today there are two ways: to academic higher education at VGIK or Spbgukit or to explore specialized programs for private schools, which last for a year or two. Only operate in the capital Moscow film school, School of documentary films of Marina Razbezhkina, Alexander Mitta’s Film school, Academy N. S. Mikhalkov and a dozen other schools. Education in them is worth hundreds of thousands of rubles a year, but students enough for all: each year, these schools produce hundreds of new specialists.The film became popular in particular because of the cinematography, which at all times was considered the main source of footage, in the new era passed the position.

Each of new Russian specialists was their thorny way in the movie. Someone attended the courses, someone self-taught from books and movies, many come from related professions and have mastered the profession in practice. Hence the lack of specialists able to cover large domains of knowledge, and first of all — writers.

«The current writers are torn, they do not respond to today’s queries, they are not ready to speak on current topics in modern language, — shared his opinion in an interview with RIA Novosti, the producer of the film «Gravity», partner Fyodor Bondarchuk at the school «industry» Alexander Andryushchenko.

«In Russia there are good independent authors, but they do not want to work in the harsh conditions of the industry, says Andryushchenko. — These authors sometimes overlook the films that show at festivals, they get prizes, we have a lot of respect, but I can’t work with them because we have a clear idea of genres and production time, they too original, so to speak».

According to Andryushchenko, those who can operate in industrial conditions, very little and it’s extremely busy people. The quality of scenarios of Russian films will increase, only when the competition will be more.

In any modern private film school screenwriting course opens one of the first. In this case, I’m sure the third co-founder of the school «industry», producer Mikhail Vrubel, «our education industry, unlike in the West, today there is no technology for the training of writers.»

Young Andryushchenko and Vrubel — the talented self-taught, has come down to just themselves. And they are the first to acknowledge that this method in the modern film industry is bad. Film education should meet the needs of industry, teachers must be practitioners, removing large and popular projects, the students should be practice in real market conditions. Only in this case Russian cinema has a chance to be looked.
