Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Olena zerkal said that the final decision of the Stockholm arbitration «Naftogaz Ukraine» and «Gazprom» on gas supplies can be made in November.

Previously commercial Director of «Naftogaz of Ukraine» Yuriy Vitrenko said he expects a final decision of the Stockholm court in a dispute with «Gazprom» on gas supplies in 2017, but not earlier than autumn.

«Now little moved time, and the pre is the end of November,» — said zerkal on Tuesday on air of the Ukrainian TV channel «5 channel».

According to her, the timing has shifted, primarily because of the estimates regarding execution of a decision on the merits of the arbitration. «They have to be conducted by the parties. The parties should come to a common denominator. After that, if they do not come to a common denominator, then the arbitration is connected to this issue,» — said zerkal.

Another factor influencing the timing of the decision, she said, is to bind to the second case of gas transit. «Of course, there is a definite correlation… They separarely these two cases,» — said zerkal.

The Stockholm arbitration court in late may issued an interim decision in the dispute between «Gazprom» and «Naftogaz» contract on gas supplies to Ukraine. The text of the decision is not yet public, but the Ukrainian side has already stated that the court granted her basic requirements: cancelled the contract a condition «take or pay» (take or pay) and a ban on re-export, has decided to revise the pricing formula starting in 2014. «Gazprom» has declared, that the balance in the decision is positive for the Russian company, and has denied the abolition of the court’s rules of take or pay.

The head of the energy section of the group of support of Ukraine in the European Commission Torsten, Vollert hopes that the interim decision of the Stockholm arbitration will be «a good basis» for negotiations of Russia and Ukraine’s future gas supplies.
