In Moscow due to the increasing number of pilgrims to the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is limited pedestrian traffic near temple of Christ the Savior, said on Wednesday the official website of the bringing of the Shrine.

From 21 may the relics are in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. With 13 hours on may 22 to him opened free access for pilgrims. Access to the relics in the capital is open daily until 12 July from 8.00 to 21.00.

«Due to the large influx of pilgrims, as well as with the need to ensure security in the surrounding area around the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, temporarily entered some of the limitations of pedestrians for the period of translation of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker», — stated in the message.

According to the website, the following changes were made: limited movement on Simonovska travel, Volkhonka street, Moscow, Prechistenskaya and Frunzenskaya embankments. In addition, the Patriarchal bridge is closed to pedestrian traffic in both directions. The Northern lobby of metro station «Kropotkinskaya» only works on the passengers ‘ entrance.

The approximate time spent in the queue to the relics as of the middle of the day – 7.5 hours. Since may 22, the Shrine is already bowed more than 1 million 100 thousand people.
