Cancer girl from Apatite Daria Starikova, which appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin during a «straight line», responded well to the first course of chemotherapy, send her abroad for treatment is not necessary, he told reporters on Thursday the General Director of «national medical radiological research center» (NERC) Ministry of health of Russia academician Andrei Kaprin.

Answering the question of a possible transfer of the girl abroad for treatment, Kaprin said that «so far there is no such need». «We are confident that we can manage and beat the disease here at home,» he said. Kaprin also denied reports about the alleged planned treatment of the girl in Germany.

Earlier the health Ministry said the girl is not planning to send for treatment abroad.

Daria Starikova from Apatite, which was diagnosed with cancer stage IV, addressed to the President of the Russian Federation during the «straight line» on June 15. According to her, initially the doctors put her diagnosis of «intervertebral osteochondrosis», that time in treatment was up. Immediately after the «straight line» Daria was in intensive care at the district hospital, where on Friday she was transferred to the regional hospital in Murmansk. By plane the girl was taken for treatment to Moscow.
