The Kyiv Prosecutor’s office asks the court six times to increase the Deposit to the chief editor of the Ukrainian Internet-editions «Страна.UA» Igor Guzhva — up to 123 thousand dollars, reported on Thursday a press-Department service.

Guzhva was detained in Kiev on June 22 on suspicion of extortion for the deployment of compromising materials on the current policy. Guzhva said the case against him planned provocation. A court in Kiev on June 24 arrested a journalist with possibility of bail in 544 thousand UAH (about 21 thousand dollars) on Monday for his bail.

«The Prosecutor’s office of Kyiv court of appeal to appeal against the measure, which was elected by the Shevchenko district court of Kiev the head of the Internet edition «Strenia» I. Guzhva. So, disagreeing with the court’s decision regarding the amount of collateral that is insufficient to ensure proper procedural conduct of the suspect, the Prosecutor’s office has filed an appeal with the requirement to increase the Deposit from 544 thousand UAH to 3.2 million (about 123 thousand dollars)», — reported on the website of the Prosecutor’s office.

The appeal filed in the Appellate court of Kiev for decision-making.
