Kirov district court of Petersburg on Wednesday sanctioned the arrest of the second detainee on the eve of the alleged organizer of an extremist community, reported by RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the court Daria Lebedeva.

«The court has satisfied the petition of the investigator of the investigation service of the FSB of the arrest until July 30, Tajik citizen Myrzamurat Mirzosharipov suspected of the organization of an extremist community», — said Lebedev.

Earlier it was reported that for the same period was arrested a native of Dagestan, a Russian citizen Magomed Akimov. According to the press service of the court, both men are suspected of committing a crime under part 1 of article 282.2 of the criminal code (Organization of activity of public or religious Association or other organisation in respect of which the court accepted entered into legal force decision on liquidation or ban of activities in connection with extremist activity).

At the same time, a law enforcement source told RIA Novosti that Achimov and Mirzosharipov suspected of involvement in a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the criminal code). According to the source, the development of suspects were FSB together with the Center «e» of the interior Ministry for St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, and direct the detention was carried out with the participation of Regardie. In a press-service of the FSB declined to comment.

According to the source, 31-year-old Achimov had previously been a witness in a criminal case of the St. Petersburg cell of «Hizb ut-Tahrir» (banned in Russia) and unsuccessfully tried to get political asylum in Sweden. The source also said that 44-year-old Myrzamurat Mirzosharipov lived illegally in Russia, in Tajikistan, he was declared wanted for involvement in terrorist activities. Earlier Mirzosharipov served 13-year sentence for terrorism. According to the source, the relatives of the detainees were aware of their participation in the activities of «Hizb ut-Tahrir». In particular, according to the source, knew their wives, imported from France, who converted to Islam.

A criminal case against the organizers of a cell of the banned «Hizb ut-Tahrir» in St. Petersburg, which operated in the period from 2009 to 2015, was launched in may 2014. In addition, the was arrested, and later prosecuted and other participants of the St. Petersburg cell of «Hizb ut-Tahrir». Just now convicted nine of its members.

Islamic liberation party («Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami») in a number of countries as terrorist, in Russia its activity is also prohibited by the Supreme court of the Russian Federation from 2003. The purpose of the organization — the elimination of non-Muslim governments and establish Islamic rule worldwide by establishing a «worldwide Islamic Caliphate». Members of «Hizb-ut-Tahrir al-Islami» are regularly detained in various Russian regions, mainly in large cities of Central Russia, the Volga region and Siberia, and the Crimea.
