Authorities in Zabaykalsky Krai in connection with a difficult fire situation and the hot weather extended the ban for citizens on visits to forests from July 1 to 21, said on Thursday the government of the region.

Earlier it was reported that the ban on visits to forests was introduced in the province since may 20 and was to end June 30.

«The acting President of the government of Transbaikalian edge Alexander Kulakov has signed the decision about restriction from 1 to 21 July this year, the stay of citizens in woods and entrance to them of vehicles, and also carrying out in woods of certain kinds of works to ensure fire safety. In Transbaikalia extended restriction of stay of citizens in forests 1 to 21 of July», — stated in the message.

According to the document, the restriction applies within the borders of Agin, Akshinsky, Alexandrovska Factory, Argun, Badinskiy, Baleyskaya, Beklemishev, top-Chita, gazimuro-Factory, Dul’durginskaya, Ingoda, Karymskoye, Krasnochikoyskoe, Kyrinskiy, Mogocha, Nerchinsk, Olenguyskoe Liski, Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky, Candlemas, Tungokochenskogo, Hiloksky, char, Chernyshevsky, Chita, Shilkinskaya forestry.

According to the authorities, as of 08.00 on 29 June on the territory of the forest Fund in Zabaykalsky Krai there are 29 forest fires on a total area of 6630 hectares covered by forest 5711 acres.
