The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Chairman of the Knesset of the state of Israel Yuli Edelstein at a meeting in Moscow on Thursday discussed prospects for Palestinian-Israeli settlement, the decision of the Syrian and other crises in the middle East, as well as the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, said in a statement on the website of the Russian foreign Ministry.

«During the meeting the sides discussed the state and prospects of development of traditionally friendly Russian-Israeli relations, including their humanitarian aspects and joint efforts to counter attempts to falsify the history of the Second world war, the glorification of Nazi collaborators. Emphasize the mutual commitment of Russia and Israel to further intensify political dialogue and the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations, which contribute to the expansion of the whole complex of bilateral cooperation», — stated in the message.

The Russian foreign Ministry added that during the meeting «were also reviewed key regional issues with a focus on issues of uncompromising fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, the prospects for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement, the task of resolving the Syrian crisis and other conflicts in the middle East in accordance with the principles of international law».
