The organizing Committee of the translation of the relics of Nicholas the Wonderworker in Moscow recommended that elderly people and parents with young children wishing to come on Friday in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, to postpone pilgrimage to the relics of St. on the other day due to a sharp deterioration in the weather, reports the press center of the organizing Committee.

According to the MOE, in the next few hours in the capital region are expected rain, storm, hail and wind gusting to 15-20 meters per second. This weather will continue until Saturday, July 1.

«Please be careful and responsible attitude to the recommendations of staff taking the shrines and EMERCOM in Moscow. You are kindly requested to choose a time of worship of the Shrine, subject to weather conditions and the forecast of the Ministry. The elderly and parents with young children are recommended to postpone the pilgrimage to another day,» — said the press center.

The relics of St. Nicholas for the first time in history brought to Russia. With may 21, they are in the temple of Christ the Savior. With 13 hours on may 22 to him opened free access for pilgrims. Access to the relics is open daily until 12 July from 8.00 to 21.00. Wishing to venerate the relics it is necessary to stand many hours.
