Russia and Belarus will jointly create a satellite remote sensing (RS), a Memorandum of intent was signed on Friday in the framework of the IV forum of regions of Russia and Belarus the General Director of state Corporation «Roscosmos» Igor Komarov and the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) Vladimir Gusakov said on Friday «Roscosmos».

«The project will be implemented in the framework of the cooperation agreement of Russia and Belarus in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, signed on 26 December 2012», — stated in the message of the Corporation.

The Russian side will be responsible for service platform of the satellite, the Belarusian scientific equipment that the platform will set. The output of the satellite into the target orbit will also provide «Roscosmos».

«RBCU (Russian-Belarusian spacecraft) remote sensing is included in the current Belarusian-Russian orbital group of satellites remote sensing, high resolution, control, and receive information from it will be proportionally distributed resources», — stated in the message.
