The question of participation of Vladimir Putin in the upcoming 2018 election of the Russian President does not appear on the agenda of the Kremlin, said press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.

Previously RBC reported about the intentions of the acting President to nominate his candidacy for the elections: according to the newspaper, Putin will run in the upcoming elections as the independent candidate.

«The issue does not appear on the agenda, it is not there yet,» — said Peskov on a question, whether Putin to run for election to the presidency as an independent candidate, and not did he receive any proposals from the «United Russia» about the possibility to nominate him as a candidate.

About his plans to run for already stated the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky. In February 2016, the party «Yabloko» decided on the nomination of Grigory Yavlinsky as its presidential candidate.
