At the end of June, a group of security personnel of Venezuela, headed by Perez stole the police helicopter, threw grenades and fired on the building of the interior Ministry and the Supreme court, announced the beginning of fight against the regime of President Nicolas Maduro. The attackers fled. Authorities called the incident a terrorist attack and are wanted involved in the events of people.

«We are a large group. Well, we are many. July 18, starts national protest up until this narkotik, this dictatorship will fall,» said Perez in an interview on Telemundo. In the annotations to the material of the channel indicated that Perez was released on bond from the underground, where he continues to escape. Several days ago rebel officer took part in a protest March in Caracas, gave an interview, then left on a motorcycle in an unknown direction.

«I fear for the lives of all Venezuelans who die not only during March (protest), but also in hospitals from disease, die of hunger and poverty on the streets, it is those lives that we care about,» said Perez.

It submitted the following questions: «do You reject and do not recognize the implementation of the national constituent Assembly without prior approval of the Venezuelan people?», «You require from the national Bolivarian armed forces to obey and defend the Constitution of 1999 and to support the decisions of the National Assembly?», «Do you agree that revision of state power under the Constitution, held free elections and established the government of national unity?».

In parallel with the referendum for the opposition in Venezuela, Pro-government forces carried out a rehearsal of voting for the election of members of the national constituent Assembly, the convening of which the opposition considers a violation of the Constitution. The vote itself is scheduled for July 30.
