Vladimir Makeev, the lawyer of the accused in the cybercrime citizen of the Russian Federation Evgeny Nikulin, sent a letter to the President of the United States Donald Trump, urging him to pay attention to attempts by U.S. intelligence to persuade the Russians to perjury, reports the newspaper «Izvestia».

Czech police in cooperation with FBI have arrested Nikulin in Prague on 5 October 2016. He is accused by the American judicial authorities in illegally obtaining access data from LinkedIn social network and the servers of companies Dropbox and Formspring. A warrant for the arrest Nikulin was issued on 10 November 2016 Koptevskiy district court of Moscow on charges of theft 3450 dollars via electronic payment system Webmoney. The Czech Ministry of justice received 22 November, the requests for extradition Nikulina simultaneously from Moscow and Washington. At the end of may this year, the court in Czech Republic ruled that Nikulin might be extradited to Russia, and transferred to the United States. The defendant appealed the court’s decision in part on its possible extradition in the USA. Now will handle this case, the Supreme court of the Czech Republic.

According to Makeyev, one of the FBI agents suggested the Nikulin to agree to extradition to the US, and then through the media — to discredit the us election campaign, saying his involvement in the hacking of the servers of the Democratic party. «During this perjury he was promised the termination of criminal prosecution, monetary reward and US citizenship», — quotes the edition of the text of the letter of attorney Trump.

As told the newspaper Makeev, his client is trying to psychologically break down, so he made a deal with us intelligence agencies. In particular, Nikulina limit the walks and do not provide the ability to make calls to family in accordance with the rules established in the detention center.

In turn, the Czech lawyer Nikulina Martin Sadilek told the newspaper that the defense is trying to prevent the extradition of a Russian citizen of the United States. «Americans still have not provided any substantial evidence in the case. Moreover, the Czech court should take into account that in the USA Russian citizen faces 54 years in prison. And in the Czech Republic for the same crime be given a maximum of eight years», — quotes the edition of Sadilek.

Accusations of «Russian hackers» periodically heard from the lips of Western politicians, which, however, are in no hurry to show any evidence. Typically, these charges relate to the alleged interference in the elections. Such statements were made, in particular, representatives of the US Democratic party, lost the presidential election and also elected President of France Emmanuel macron.

Russia has repeatedly denied accusations of U.S. intelligence in trying to influence U.S. elections, but the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov called them «completely unfounded». The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking about alleged Russian intervention in elections in the United States, France and Germany, said that there are no facts confirming it, no.
