Reports of damage to the liner of the company «Ural airlines» in a collision with a flock of birds after landing at the airport of Simferopol do not correspond to reality, told RIA Novosti Deputy General Director on public relations of the airport and Igor Laptev.

Earlier mass media with reference to the press service of the airline reported that flights of «Ural airlines» in the Crimea detained from Sunday night because of the incident at the Simferopol airport, where after landing the plane hit a flock of birds. It was reported that the plane had been damaged nose cone, it had to be repaired, which failed flight schedule.

«Information about the alleged collision of birds with the plane of airline «Ural airlines» at the airport of Simferopol is untrue,» — said Laptev.

The Deputy Director said that after landing and during taxiing messages of the crew about the collision with the birds not been recorded. In this case, after standard procedures postflight inspection on the fuselage was indeed found traces of collision.

«However, the stage at which it happened, not set – it could happen at the airport Kemerovo, Rostov-on-don. This was also recorded in the testimony of the crew, who later proceeded to taxi route. The report noted that traces of birds on the route not found», — said Laptev.

At the airport of Simferopol, according to the Deputy Director, performs the necessary measures to ensure ornithological safety – operates a bioacoustics system that mimic the sounds of predatory birds, mirror balls, reflectors, and are also patrolling ornithologists who work with sound cannons.
