The Tver court of Moscow on Monday extended for six months the term of arrest of Dmitry Krepkina, accused of kicking a police officer at an unsanctioned rally, which took place on 26 March in the capital, told RIA Novosti the defendant’s lawyer Ilnur Sharapov.

«During preliminary hearings the court extended the defendants Krepkina a measure of restraint in form of detention,» — said the defender. He added that the hearing on the merits of the case against Cepkin scheduled for 8 August.

For attacks on security forces in the rally on March 26 was arrested seven people. Currently, for participating in riots convicted three accused threw the brick at the police Stanislav Simovic got 2.5 years in prison, pleaded guilty Yuri Koli sentenced to eight months in the colony, and Alexander Shpakov, also pleaded guilty, received 1.5 years in prison.

Protests were held March 26, in several cities of Russia, some of them were not agreed with local authorities. Not authorized the event was held on March 26 and in the center of Moscow. According to the interior Ministry, was detained about 500 people. After a while most of the detainees were released from police departments, some of the offenders were punished with fines or arrest.
