Eleven people died, three are missing for the last 4 days in the Northern and North-Eastern provinces of Thailand, where seasonal flooding has suddenly become a disaster, according to the Third national TV channel, citing the Ministry of internal Affairs of Thailand.

The disaster area is declared a vast territory in 19 of the 77 provinces of the country, where the depth of flooding is 1.5-3 meters, the report said. According to the Center of the interior Ministry of Thailand on the prevention of natural disasters, flood is steadily spreading southward in the coming days can reach the Central provinces of the country. In the field, military and local authorities have organized a massive campaign by pumping water pumps in the surrounding water, however, in some provinces, the floods have intensified due to the fact that broke the dam for local irrigation of the reservoir, which suction water.

Floods in the rainy season, which in Thailand usually lasts from mid-may to October, take part every year, but this year, the strong rains have made it much more dangerous than usual, said the TV report. However, forecasts of experts of the Ministry of internal Affairs do not put it on par with the catastrophic flood of 2011, when the water is a giant slow wave went through the country from North to South, inundating the Central provinces and Bangkok, before turned back in the Gulf of Thailand South of the capital.
