The Ministry of economic development would not change the forecast for 2017 inflation of 3.8%, told reporters the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin.

«Our estimates of inflation do not change. As we had forecast in April, so we have the numbers not changed. I think of inflation, they are unlikely to change. We estimate a 3.8% at the end of the year. Inflation unlikely to be major changes,» said the Minister.

According to him, the trajectory of inflation in Russia has changed a bit due to the jump in vegetable prices. «I think that will gradually go down,» he added.

Last week Oreshkin said that inflation in Russia began to slow down after a spike in June due to the growth of prices for fruit and vegetables in connection with cold weather and leaves on the forecast level of 3.8% by the end of 2017.

According to Rosstat, from the beginning of the year to 24 July, the inflation rate reached 2.8%.
