Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov, speaking at the all-Russian youth forum «Territory», said that it was not worth repeal of the death penalty in Russia.

One of the participants asked Zyuganov how to effectively fight corruption, and whether to introduce the death penalty.

«I must say, to fight corruption, we need a whole system of measures», — said Zyuganov.

The MP added that the idea of the death penalty, he does not exclude. «Do not accuse me of bloodlust, but I would not repeal the law on the death penalty. There are several types of crimes for which you have to pay with his life. If you kill their own kind, abused women, the elderly, you have to remember that you’ll be punished,» he said.
