The first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Dmitry Novikov called the strange and the outstanding decision of the Moldovan government to declare persona non grata Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.

The government of Moldova at the meeting on Wednesday decided to declare Rogozin persona non grata.

«Rogozin is an official person who represents the Russian government, the Russian government. Such decisions look strange. Apparently, some representatives of the Moldovan politicians are not haunted by the example of their spiritual inspirers from Washington that violate generally accepted rules of international relations,» Novikov told RIA Novosti.

«I don’t see any reason to respect Rogozin was made this kind of decision. And consider it verified practically and legally, it is hardly possible», — said the MP.

In his opinion, such a move could affect Russia’s attitude to the individual politicians of Moldova. He stressed that the President of Moldova Igor Dodon is configured to normalize relations with Russia.

Rogozin and the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, were supposed to meet last week in the country. However, the Romanian authorities under the pretext of «sanctioned person» on Board was not given to cross the country’s airspace to the flight of the Russian airline S7, which from Moscow to Chisinau flying 165 passengers, including 11 children.
