Changes in the rules of the music competition «Eurovision» should work in practice, only then they make sense, said the famous producer Joseph Prigogine.

The European broadcasting Union (ЕBU) has amended the rules of the music competition «Eurovision» after the ban from the Ukrainian authorities on entry of participants from Russia Yulia Samoilova, reported German ARD television, citing a document submitted ЕBU broadcasting companies are broadcasting the contest.

Under the new rules, all parties involved in the competition must ensure that «none of the participants or members of delegations no reason to impose a ban on his entry into the country of the competition in accordance with the law in connection with the peculiarities of his biography», the article reads. Member must verify their contestants for entry into the country.

«Any rules are good only when they are executed. But if this won’t work, why invent new rules,» — said RIA Novosti Prigogine.

The producer stressed that it is not very clear how to work the new rule, if information about any restrictions on entry into the country in advance do not apply.

«In some cases, you will learn about on the border,» — said Prigogine. The producer also questioned the point of regulations, prescribing not to politicize the contest, calling the regulation «a mere Declaration».

In the new regulation it is noted that the competition should not be politicized and used as a tool of manipulation. Moreover, the neglect of these principles, as noted in the message channel, in the future will face disqualification all participants and the participating broadcasters.

«Eurovision-2017» was held in may in Kiev. To represent Russia at the competition was Yulia Samoilova with a song about love the Flame Is Burning, but the security Service of Ukraine has banned the actress entry into the country for three years because of her performances in the Crimea. The European broadcasting Union offered Russia to broadcast the contest via a satellite or to change the participant. On «the First channel» called these options unacceptable and in this situation did not consider it possible to broadcast the contest.
