The investigative Committee (IC) of Russia will re-ask Kyiv about the results of the Ukrainian investigation of the death of the photographer MIA «Russia today» Andrew Stenina in the Donbass August 6, 2014, reported Wednesday RIA Novosti the official representative of Department Svetlana Petrenko.

She recalled that the RF IC previously sent a request on legal assistance to the competent authorities of Ukraine. In answer it was stated only that law enforcement in this country is a pre-trial investigation into the murder of journalists.

«Currently, the Investigation Committee prepared a further request for legal assistance with a request to provide information on the 79-th airmobile brigade of the Armed forces of Ukraine and its location in the period of hostilities in 2014, and the results of the investigation by the Ukrainian side of the criminal case of the death of Andrew Stenina», — said Petrenko.

Andrei Stenin went missing when performing editorial tasks in early August 2014 around the city Snow in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian security forces carried out a special operation against the militia. General Director MIA «Russia today» Dmitry Kiselev September 3 announced the receipt of data of the RF IC, indicating that the journalist was killed in the shelling of a convoy of Ukrainian soldiers on 6 August. For courage and heroism in the performance of professional duty, Stenin was awarded the order of Courage posthumously to Russian.
