Leakage of the reagent occurred in the basin of the city of Durham in North Carolina, 42 people were injured, among them 40 children, reports ABC11.

Deputy chief of the fire Department of the city Chris Ianuzzi said that the call from pool arrived around 14.40 (21.40 GMT). It is noted that a leak of sodium hypochlorite, which is commonly used to disinfect pools.

According to the channel, most of the victims – children from 6 to 12 years, six of them are in serious condition.
