Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the new US sanctions against Russia are comprehensive in nature and will persist for decades, and they will be tougher the law the Jackson – Vanik amendment.

«Sanctions are codified and will remain for decades, barring some kind of miracle. And it will be tougher the law the Jackson – Vanik amendment, for is comprehensive and can not be delayed special orders of the President without the consent of Congress. Thus, the relationship between Russia and the USA will be very difficult regardless of the composition of Congress or of the President’s personality,» wrote Medvedev on his page in Facebook.
