The founder of the world’s largest social network Facebook mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan hired the chief strategist of the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, pollster public opinion Joel Benenson as her consultant, writes Politico, citing a source.

Now the company Benenson is to carry out research for the charity, Zuckerberg and Chan («Chan Zuckerberg Initiative»). Zuckerberg and Chan pledged to give 99 percent of his shares in Facebook worth around $ 45 billion to charity.

As Politico writes, the involvement of Benenson to their work is the latest indication that «they are more actively begin to promote their philanthropic work in the world of politics».

Earlier, Benenson was also one of the main advisers of former President Barack Obama.
