Incomes of inhabitants of Moscow growing even adjusted for inflation, the decline of previous years not compensated, but the trend is positive, and such as it is now, the growth in tax revenues has not been since 2011, said the capital’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

«Can not but rejoice that at least a little, but still grow incomes. Last year we saw a few percent increase even with inflation, and this year a slight increase,» — said Sobyanin at a meeting with head of the Russian government.

He noted that the drop, which was in previous years, have not compensated. «However, we saw a positive trend, and it’s certainly worth it», — said the capital’s mayor.

According to him, indirectly, this is confirmed by the volume of retail trade last year was an absolute drop in this is nominal growth of 5%. «This is indirectly evident in the occupancy of commercial premises, offices – everywhere there is positive dynamics. Perhaps the most obvious indicator is the receipt of taxes: profit tax, income tax,» said the mayor. «This growth in revenues has not been since 2011, since when we emerged from the crisis of 2009-2010. A very similar trend in the dynamics by volume, percent. I hope that this trend and these indicators will continue until the end of the year. I can say that we have passed not only in neutral but in a positive growth phase,» — said Sobyanin.

For his part, Medvedev said that the current recovery growth in Moscow is very good, because the Russian capital is the largest metropolis and «a nationwide driver development.»

«Regarding the growth of real income, not to mention the fact that incomes are rising naturally, and in par – more than respectable numbers – it is also a positive trend. Of course, it would be nice to consolidate,» said Medvedev.
