The President of Brazil Michel Temer, in respect of which the Parliament failed to gain the needed votes to start the process in the Supreme court, said that will work until the end of his term in order to restore economic growth, balance public finances and reform.

The chamber of deputies of the National Congress has suspended the process against Temer, suspected of corruption, gaining just 263 votes in favour is required to get 342. While 227 deputies voted against.

Reuters notes that the process of voting on its issue of Temer called «a pure and indisputable».

Allegations of corruption against the President were sent to the lower house of Congress in late June. Earlier, Prosecutor General of Brazil, Rodrigo Janot officially filed against Temer charged with «passive corruption».

The investigation against Temer is carried out in accordance with a request by one of the deputies after the portal Globo published an audio recording on which Brazilian leader talks to the owner of the company for the production of meat, JBS Lesli Batista. Their meeting took place on 7 March. During the meeting, Temer allegedly gives the order to pay more than 630 thousand dollars of eks-the head of the chamber of deputies, Eduardo Cunha for «silence» on the case of corruption around oil company Petrobras.

Batista said on the participation of Temer in the corruption scheme in the government since 2010. He noted that in this scheme, policy extorted bribes from high-ranking officials in exchange for political support. Now the process against Temer will be suspended until the expiration of his term of office on the post of the head of state at the end of 2018, and to answer before the justice, he will be able to 2019.
