The self-proclaimed head of the DND Alexander Zakharchenko said that the two failed attempts to break the Ukrainian security forces in Donbass connected with the intention to disrupt the meeting of the contact group on Ukraine.

«Two attempts to break through were to the South and the arc svetlodarsk. Both failed, the enemy dropped. It was specially made to the Minsk agreements was disrupted. Our position remained intact. Anywhere they have not moved,» he told reporters Zakharchenko.

Earlier the news Agency «UNIAN» and a number of other Ukrainian media said that the security forces have moved a kilometer in the area of Svetlodarsk arc on the contact line in the Donbass.

Information about the breakout of the Ukrainian military has denied the official representative of the people’s militia self-proclaimed LNR Andrey Marochko. He said that APU really fired people’s militia positions near the village of lozove and the first of August I tried to move forward in this area. «Our fighters kept the enemy on the starting line and did not give a metre,» said Marochko.

Meeting of the contact group on settling the situation in Donbas and its thematic sub-groups were held on Wednesday in Minsk.
